Facial Hair

Facial hair means different things to different people, but if you are a woman who has it, you are probably trying everything you can think of to get rid of it. Though sometimes it is easy and other times it is hard, you should know that you aren’t alone in your frustration. There are a lot of women who have this problem, but you may never know it. Some don’t have too much to worry about and others need special help. There are many options available to you, but you should consider that something else may be going on.

There are many women who have facial hair on their upper lip, and for the most part, this is just a part of their heredity. Some is soft and so light you never have to worry about it, and some can cause you to not want to leave the house. This type of facial hair should be taken off with a depilatory cream, or can be bleached so that it does not stick out on the lip. You might want to think twice before shaving it though. It won’t grow in thicker but you do cut the hair off so the point is flat, and this will make it more noticeable.

If you have facial hair on your chin or under your chin, you are probably really embarrassed. If you only have a few hairs that seem to grow longer and darker than the rest, you can just pluck them out with a tweezers every few days. Remember that everyone has a find layer of hair all over their body, but if it is dark enough for you too see it then it is not natural. You can use tweezers if you have more facial hair than that, and you can also use the cream to get rid of it.

If you have excess facial hair, you might want to consider that you have a hormone imbalance and you should see your doctor to make sure that nothing else is going on. Women who have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), for example, can have facial hair that gets darker and thicker. It also affects the reproductive system and may also cause insulin resistance. If you go to see your doctor you will find out if your facial hair is just a part of your heredity or if it might indicate that something else is going on in your body.
